Snow Day!!

When we moved, I did not expect to see snow.  We didn't see a lot of snow at our old house and it snows even less here.  Well, last week we woke up to 4 solid inches of snow. 

Joe woke me up at 5am to look at the snow.  I got up, and sure enough, it was white outside.  So I put on my shoes and coat and went outside and took some pictures.  Then I sent my family up north pictures of my snow, yes, at 5am.  I even called my mom (I knew she would be up) to tell her we had snow.

Then after a while I went back to bed just in time to sleep for half and hour and then get back up.  Joe came back to pick me up and take me to work.  I could have driven my car, the streets were wet enough, no ice, but I'm glad I didn't have too.  I have done damage to my car due to snow in the past, so I'm not a big fan of driving in it. 

Snow really isn't as much fun as an adult.  It may have snowed, but we both had to go to work, we did not get a snow day.  We still had to function in the real world.  Although, we were very lucky to have power.  Many people were without power for hours and even days.  We didn't get a chance to play in the snow, we didn't even get a chance to drive down to the beach to see the snow on the sand.  Joe had been hoping for snow all winter.  His wish came true.  Maybe next time it could snow when we have the day off.
