Joe and I are getting the hang of things in our new
town. We don’t get lost running errands,
we have our favorite restaurants, and we have settled into our routine. It’s hard to believe, but we have been here
for almost 7 months.
The town is different, but we are still in Oregon. It rains, a lot. We don’t know many people, but we are only a
few hours drive to visit our family. I
think the biggest perk of our new town…is the bay and the ocean!!! At night, when everything is quiet, we can
hear the gentle roar of the ocean. There
are sand dunes close our house, and I can stick my toes in the ocean with as
little as a fifteen minute drive. I can’t
wait until this summer when it is warm enough to play in the water. It is a little too cold still.
We have been watching a lot of basketball in our house. We have been keeping up with the
Blazers. Well, Joe has and I mostly get
the highlights. They have good days and
bad. As I am writing this, the game is
on, Blazers vs. Golden State Warriors.
At the moment they are up, but it is only the 2nd quarter…it
is far from over.
My new year’s resolution this year is to scrapbook. February is almost over and all I have done
is move all my supplies to the dining area.
Hopefully, soon I will print pictures so I can get started. I also need to print pictures to go in all
the picture frames we got for our wedding.
I need to get them up on the wall so I can enjoy them. I have all these ideas in my head, I just
need to turn off the TV and do them. On
my days off I allow myself to get too distracted by the TV. We have Netflix, and once you get started on
a show, it is very hard to turn it off. It
is so easy to watch just one more episode, and pretty soon my whole day has
passed me by.
I’m not really sure what to write about, but I am trying to
get this started…so here we go!
