Joe and I went to Silverton for the weekend. We went for many reasons, and one of those
reasons was Lydia turned 21 years last Thursday. She was so excited to be home for her big
birthday. She has been asking for weeks
when I would be up to celebrate. I
wasn’t sure when I would be able to be up, but at the last minute we decided to
head up.
We went over to my parents for lunch. We ate sandwiches outside in the shade. Did I mention that it was muggy and 80
degrees outside? We were drinking
flavored martinis. Mine was a blood
orange martini. Yumm! Little Ernie was playing on a latter that was
propped up on the tree. He could only
get up to the first step and then he was stuck.
It was cute. And, even if he had
figured how to climb to the next step, he would have been pulled down by his
Mom.
After a while we moved the party inside. My mom had a great idea to paint wine
glasses. It is something fun to do in
the spirit of turning 21. It was
fun. I painted a cute glass with hearts
(pictures to come). Lydia and Kelsey
painted glasses with flowers. Lydia
painted an extra one for her friend that also turned 21 recently. My mom painted some for a friend of hers who
has a birthday coming up. My cousin Marc
painted with some cool poka dots.
Later that night I met up with my sisters at Applebees for
some adult drinks. We got appetizers and
margaritas. Yumm. We even got some jello shots. Then we moved on the Silver Spur for some
county music. We had a great time just enjoying
a fruity drink and watching the crowd. It
was nice to relax and hang out with my friends, my sisters.
Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun! :-)
